Islamic Animal Bottle

These are cute anthropomorphic blown glass bottles that usually have some sort of basket work around the throat and am animal at the base supporting the bottle. I made my first attempt a year or two ago and haven't tried again since, although it is on my list of projects...

Here is my attempt. As you can see, the basket work is not terribly good, but it does resemble my eventual goal.

Here are some pictures of fairly good period examples. There are medieval islamic examples that are much closer to my attempt but I actually want to do a *good one* some day.
